Invisalign: What is it?

At Guymon Orthodontics, we know that wires and brackets of traditional braces are not always the best fit for patients. That is why we offer Invisalign as a viable alternative. As an Invisalign Preferred Provider, we are constantly working toward treating more complex cases with Invisalign than ever before.
How Does Invisalign Work?
The Invisalign treatment involves a set of clear aligner trays custom fitted for a patient’s mouth. After using high-tech imaging to map the movement of teeth, these trays are designed to be replaced every two months. For the next pair to fit properly, patients must be sure to wear the aligner trays for at least 22 hours a day. During the treatment duration, patients will visit our office to make sure everything is going according to plan.
Who is Eligible for Invisalign in Idaho?
Almost anyone is a candidate for Invisalign. It’s particularly popular for adult patients, but we also offer a specialized form for adolescent patients called Invisalign Teen. Though Invisalign can’t treat every orthodontic malocclusion, advances in technology mean it can treat a wide variety of conditions. The only patients for whom we don’t generally recommend Invisalign are children getting early orthodontic treatment.
Originally, Invisalign was only available to adults wishing to correct their bite. Nowadays, the brand boasts Invisalign for Teens as well. Invisalign Teen works exactly like Invisalign but has added benefits and features. For many teens, Invisalign Teen offers some clear advantages in fitting into their lifestyle. Since Invisalign Teen aligners are removable, teens can eat all the things they love without worrying about breaking a bracket or losing a rubber band.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
Many factors determine the cost of your Invisalign treatment: the extent of the issues that need corrected, how long the treatment plan will last, and the specific treatment details prescribed by the doctor. You or a loved one can get a beautiful, healthy, and straight smile for as low as your monthly cell phone bill. To do our part and help offset costs, courtesy discounts are applied for payment in full by cash or check. If your dental plan covers orthodontic treatment, you may also qualify for Invisalign treatment. Talk to your insurance provider to determine the extent of coverage for your treatment.
