Invisalign® straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. No one will know you are straightening your teeth while wearing them.
Invisalign is a very unique form of treatment that really stand out amongst other orthodontic options. Invisalign uses 3D computer imaging technology to map the inside of your mouth. Based on this map and the treatment plan that best moves your teeth to their ideal position, aligners are made. These aligners are clear plastic, making them invisible to those around you. You swap them out every two weeks, allowing your treatment to steadily progress. Treatment tends to take about a year, after which you will use a retainer to maintain the results.
Effective, comfortable, convenient, and attractive: does Invisalign allow you to check everything off the list? Absolutely.
Effective: Invisalign isn’t designed to correct all forms of orthodontic problems, but for mild to moderate issues, such as gaps between the teeth or crowding, it is often found to be more effective than traditional braces.
Comfortable: Metal braces are often seen as uncomfortable because the various pieces rub against the tissues of the mouth, causing irritation. They also stick out and can cause trouble with speech. But Invisalign is made from smooth plastic and fits directly against the teeth, ensuring that there is minimal adjustments to be made.
Convenient: Speaking of adjustments, when braces need to be adjusted, you have to head into the office, but not with Invisalign. Instead, you change aligners at home, effectively doing the adjustments yourself. You only need to see us every 6-8 weeks, which means your schedule doesn’t have to suffer. And since they are removable, you can eat, brush, and floss as you always have.
Attractive: While we have nothing against the look of braces, many patients do. Invisalign is invisible to those around you. You can continue with life as usual, even if your look is vital to your job.
